The hashclash (or just clash) is a concept where each of two graticules tries to reach more hashpoints (or execute more expeditions) than the other one does, during a given time span.

The concept originates from a conversation following a report in which Chris_47_8 boasted about how his graticule was going to win a most active graticule award for the active month. Zertrin then rallied his graticule to achieve more hashes before the month ended. The name "hashclash" was then brought up by Mampfred.

Template

The following template may be used to mark a graticule being in a hashclash.

{{User:Calamus/Hashclash

| who = name of graticule (optional)
| with = name of the other graticule (optional)
| time = the time period in question (optional)
| reached = true if category "coordinates reached" , omit parameter if category "total expeditions" (optional)
| fullwidth = true if the box should span the whole page, omit parameter to leave space for a Template:Graticule or Template:Meetup (optional)

}}

Example

{{User:Calamus/Hashclash|who=Zürich, Switzerland|with=München, Germany|time=January 2013|reached=true|fullwidth=true}}

Zürich, Switzerland is currently in a hashclash with München, Germany. The clash will be won by the graticule to report more successful expeditions during January 2013.
You are free to side with one of the graticules and motivate it by cheering it on - or to demotivate the other one. Progress can be tracked here.
