About me

Based in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne; have car and satnav, will travel.

If Yarra Valley, Eastern Suburbs or CBD locations come up, will definitely be up for an afternoon / evening visit, although dead reckoning at night with a crappy satnav has proved to be difficult.

Why?

I work in a sedentary job at a desk, any excuse to get outside is good. Plus faithful companion Kozz's dog is always up for an ofactory investigation of the delights of Melbourne.

Particularly, I enjoy seeing parts of Melbourne and Victoria that I'd never otherwise have discovered. Classic case was Jan 4th 2010 where an uninspiring satellite photo in Google Earth did nothing to indicate a hidden little gem of a park in outer Eastern suburbia.

Would love to do far more cycling or walking to hashpoints, but with a full-time job, it's difficult enough getting to the hashpoint in the carbon-spewer and then home in time to walk the dog, eat dinner etc. In an attempt to mitigate this, from Feb 2010 onwards will progressively add distance to scoped hashes and walk in (ie stop 1km away from point and walk in, increasing this appropriately).
