I have been geo''caching'' for some time (first found april 2006), though my enthousiam for geocaching has declined the last year or so because the map is getting filled with trivial no-brainer trads and numbers are all that matters to some.

I have been geocaching for some time (first found april 2006), though my enthousiam for geocaching has declined recently because the map is getting filled with trivial no-brainer traditionals and numbers are all that matters to some (not to say most).


I got to know about geohashing from a colleague at work who read an article about geohashing at the xkcd blag and I instantly liked the idea.


My home graticule switches between Bruxelles, Belgium (most weekdays; near Leuven) and Rotterdam, Netherlands (mostly weekends; near Antwerp).


The GPS-unit I currently use is a Garming Oregon 200.
