- That replying question is a longstanding uncertainty in wikis. If you edit someone else's user talk, e will receive an email and a message box. That's good to keep in mind for important questions. Replying on the same (f.e. your own talk) page has the advantage of having a consistent discussion thread (and assumes that the other person has the page on its watchlist, or reads the recent changes anyway).
