You're my kind of geohasher! I had actually heard of the 2009-04-11 36 -84 expedition through word of mouth, but never found it on the wiki (how's that for a claim to fame). I came to your user page after being impressed that someone finally heeded the instructions for category:flora and identified their subject. Behold, it's the same person. Good stuff!
