I am somewhat active again (started again just before the old website was shut down- just my luck). Contact me if you want to. Mail here will be forwarded to my private mail. Rincewind (talk)

Hi,

I consider to visit either the Frankfurt hash (near Friedberg) or the Bonn hash (near Nassau/Lahn) tomorrow afternoon. If you are interested in a meetup, drop me a note. I would have sent mail with my mobile number just in case, but you haven't enabled that... --Ekorren 11:35, 2 March 2012 (EST)

Greeting

Hi -- Thanks for the nice note! My family and I had a great time on our first geohash. I'm hoping that we can all keep up our interest: I think I'd feel inhibited about running off by myself all the time and leaving the family at home....

By the way, as a proud owner of the entire Discworld series, I admire your username! Swensonj 18:52, 19 September 2012 (EDT)

Cats

I notice that you swerve for cats. That is not a good idea, for several reasons:

  • swerving takes energy, and cats rarely expend more energy than is absolutely necessary;
  • cats kill wildlife, so reducing the number of cats will help save native small animals;
  • a flat cat is almost indistinguishable from a flat lynx, but a Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx) is a native animal in Germany. 1PE (Canberra) 23:39, 26 September 2012 (EDT)

Be careful around Lyx - we've only got one of her, and we'd like to keep her.  :-) Jiml 13:17, 27 September 2012 (EDT)

Spam

The wiki has {{spam}} for flag spam for deletion. There is also {{delete}} but I think that is for more general deletion requests, {{spam}} being more specific. I have reported both spam users to Joannac's talk page, but since she is inactive she is not going to do anything about it. I have tried reaching Zigdon via IRC for the same matter, but he also did not react. In short, there is not really anything we can do except for tagging the pages as spam and hoping that one of the admins will show up at some point. --Fippe (talk) 10:36, 25 August 2019 (UTC)

Tagging for deletion

Regarding your comment on how to tag for deletion. There is the template {{delete|reason for deletion}} or directly {{spam}} like in this case.

About flagging the users who do these spam pages... I believe only the admins can ban them and Fippe has already told them about this users but I am not quite sure if the admins visit the wiki very often.. --SastRe.O (talk) 10:39, 25 August 2019 (UTC)

Ok, Fippe was faster and responded while I was typing this ^^ --SastRe.O (talk) 10:40, 25 August 2019 (UTC)
