2009-10-12 64 20

First ever geohash for Silver and Korny! I (Silver) installed the Geohash application on the Iphone several weeks ago, but due to time issues and lazyness no hashing has occured until the hashpoint suddenly showed up only a couple of blocks from the apartment of current roommate Korny.

A friend/collegue happily allowed herself to be dragged along on this epic journey.

Location

In the parking lot of an apartment block in Skellefteå, really close to Korny's apartment but alas not close enough to earn the couch potato achievement. An honorary mention is claimed though (the distance to the hash from the apartment is aprox. 670 meters).

A early morning session with the beloved Iphone revealed that the hashpoint of today was only a couple of blocks away! Finally an opportunity for two lazy hashers to actually reach the hashpoint after work with minimal effort. Korny was woken up with these happy news and an appointment was made for hashing after work & dinner. During the day, a friend/collegue was asked to come along to be a part of this historic moment and she agreed.

The expedition was launched from Kornys apartment, where Silver currently resides during the weeks. The temperature was just below 0°C so a small thermometer was brought along as proof for the Frozen Geohash achievement.

The hashpoint was reached by foot with no particular difficulty.
