Just outside the town of Villabona (20km south of San Sebastián), at the edge (luckily) of the Autovía del Norte highway.

When Lizwiz saw that Obnru's birthday coincided with a geohash in an accessible place, she immediately proposed to go and win him a Birthday Geohash ribbon on his maiden-geohash-voyage. Though Obnru really felt like biking the whole way there, in the end we decided to combine it with public transport, in order to have time for some dinner afterwards and to reduce the probability of getting hopelessly lost.

So... armed with our google printouts (still no gps...) we planned to take ourselves and our bikes to Villabona by train, and bike about 6km to the hash.

Expedition

Worked out as planned! Although Obnru and Lizwiz had a slight disagreement (ca. 2 meter) over the exact hash-location (based on lining up with a building on the other side of the road), we definitely must have walked over the right one at some point. Getting the photo was just slightly scary, since we were right at the edge of a road... (see truck rushing by in photo). However, it was still on the safe side. Proud of our achievement, we headed back home!
