Plans

  • Hey guys, I'm back in town and just discovered that we are at WAR!?! Uh huh, tough tough Zürich people! It is on! So who's in for 2013-01-30 48 11? I could offer 4 free seats in my car, just email me or start an expedition page. (PS: rest of the war rant is moved to the discussion page :-) IdealStandard 12:40, 29 January 2013 (EST)
We would be interested me and vermouthandgin, but the planning could be a little difficult. I have a Lab at the uni from 1:30 p.m. to around 4 p.m. Except for that, I'm virtually free. For vermouthandgin it's less convenient as she has class from 3:30 p.m to 8 p.m.
So basically my only question is : when are you planning to reach it? — Zertrin 13:48, 29 January 2013 (EST)
I'm free the whole day, the two of you can decide on the time and then let's meet at U-Bahn station Studentenstadt (or another station further West if it is better for you). IdealStandard 16:18, 29 January 2013 (EST)
If it would be ok for you I would propose to start from StuSta at 10 a.m. I've calculated 30 minutes of travel to the hash + max 15-20 min for the hash in itself + 30 minutes back that would allow me to be back at uni before noon even in case of delay (maybe you could drop us at the TU on the way back, or if not possible, Frankfurter Ring?) — Zertrin 16:45, 29 January 2013 (EST)
Due to university from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., I can't attend. I wish you a lot of fun though, your devotion is honourable ;) -The T-Man 04:22, 30 January 2013 (EST)

Expedition

vermouthandgin and Zertrin met IdealStandard at the Studentenstadt metro stop, from where we took IdealStandard's car.

We drove to the hash, which was quite quick to reach as it was not far from the A8 motorway. We had spotted that to be able to reach the hash, we would have to cross a little water stream. So we parked next to a little bridge, around 400 meter away from the the hash.

Fighting against the strong wind that tried to slow us, we walked through the first field which was unused and covered by grass. But it quickly turned out that because of the very recent melting of the snow (yesterday and today mostly) the field was very wet. This wasn't a big issue until we realized that the hash was actually a bit further than this field, in another field which unlike the first one, had been plowed, and thus extremely muddy.

We finally reached the hashpoint, took the usual pictures, and then headed back to the car. The drive back to Munich went uneventful and IdealStandard kindly dropped vermouthandgin and Zertrin at their university.
