Expedition

Now Pastori and The Wife had on their journey reached already middle parts of Germany as they were heading for home. Long back were the sunny days and sandy beaches, and the WRC rally weekend in Salou, Spain. Amongst the glooming rain clouds they decided to reach a hashpoint south of Frankfurt am Main, but some German had put a barrier on the road. We were 1,5 km short according to the car satnav, and as birds fly at least 400 meters, so we failed. There was a camping van parked before the barrier – maybe there was someone visiting the point?
We had no other choice than to continue, steadfastly deciding that we would try conquering at least one point in Germany the next – and last- day before we would enter the car ferry bound to Finland.
