Expedition
Took the usual road to work, detouring slightly towards the end. This led into the neighborhood south of the geohash, near the Bothell Pioneer's cemetery. From this point, all streets were... dead ends. No access, except for emergency vehicles - a bar which would swing up on remote signal no doubt.
Circled back around the cemetery to come at the geohash from the north. Found the building marked on the map well enough and a driveway, but access to the road beyond was... blocked. Argh! A pedestrian wouldn't have had these problems, but then they would be pretty cold.
I briefly inspected the driveway and my GPS to see how much further around I would have to detour to get onto the proper road when a little 4-wheel emergency cart went by. The gate was now up! I bypassed the sign labeled "emergency vehicles only", along with "no right turn" and "no entrance" and found myself on the right road at last.
Heading up the road, I stopped within 10 meters of the geohash (according to the droid app). The forest was really just a few trees and some very heavy leaf cover. According to droid, the point was closer to the parking lot, so I looped back into the driveway I just left (returning through the same limited access gate) and parked near the spot.
After snapping and uploading a photo or two, I tromped into the leaves. These were quite frozen and provided a solid surface to walk over. Again the hash point was roughly 10 meters away, so I walked the whole distance between the car and the road along the appropriate line. The closest I could come (according to droid) was 3.1 meters. I am certain I walked over the point, and resolve to pick up decent geohash equipment soon.
The threat of snow, traffic, and the general lack of comment on the wiki indicates I should cancel my return visit and call it good.
