There was a handy field entrance to park. The public footpath was not visible on the ground but it was easy enough to follow the GPS line recorded on OpenStreetMap. The last short section used tractor tracks off the path. On the return walk, the path could be seen faintly. The angle and reflection of the moonlight showed it up.
