Expedition
It was one of those "must go geohashing" days, although they have been more like "I hope I can make it" recently (I'm working too much) and the spot was not far. My first plan was to go by bike but it had been raining in the morning so I decided to take the train instead. I walked through the Großer Garten first, passing the park railway and reached the train station just as the train was arriving. At the Heidenau South stop I left the train and started walking, first to the Elbe river and then along it. I took the Heidenau-Birkwitz ferry across the Elbe, I was the only passenger and the two guys looked as if they had been sitting idle for a while already. On the other side of the river I met a cat, then continued on my way to the hashpoint. It was easy to find, just at the side of the road.
After a while I walked back to Birkwitz. The next bus would take a while to arrive so I decided to walk to another stop further down the bus route to avoid boredom. A few minutes after 5 p.m. I boarded the "P" bus to Pillnitz where I changed to another line which passed not far from my home.
