Expedition
In the misty pre-dawn darkness Sourcerer headed south down the Trent valley. Historically the river Trent was used for travel and transporting goods and people. Later the Trent and Mersey Canal was built. Then came the railway. All three formed the backcloth to this expedition as well as the A51 main road parallel with the older transportation links.
The hashpoint was at the corner of a house covered in Christmas lights. The tree in their front garden was attractively lit with a thousand LEDs. The closest approach to the hashpoint was in a narrow alley behind a garage adjacent to the house. I could have got closer than 7 metres but not without potential disturbance and it was still too early for people to be up and about. I let them sleep on.
