Expedition
I took the train to Augustfehn and cycled the rest of the distance.
The coordinates are in the Saterland, home of the Saterfrisians and the only place where Saterfrisian is spoken (alongside Low and High German), with 1500-2500 speakers left. There is a Saterfrisian Wikipedia. In the 1990s, they held the Guinness World Record for "smallest language island".
The Saterland is not an island though, although it used to be surrounded by bogs and only accessable by river. Today, after cycling through Augustfehn, Barßel and Elisabethfehn, I am accessing it by bike. The Saterland consists of four parts. I cycled through Strücklingen (Strukelje), Ramsloh (Roomelse) and Scharrel (Skäddel). I didn't visit the southernmost part, Sedelsberg (Seedelsbierich), because after Scharrel I turned east to reach the coordinates.
The Geohash was located on the edge of a field. There were some bushes and trees between the way and the field, so I went around them to reach the coordinates. I recorded proof, but forgot to take a picture of the ground. You aren't missing anything though, the ground looks exactly like the ground in the pictures of the surroundings.
Afterwards, I cycled back to the train station. It was so warm that I had to take my jacket and hoodie off. It was weird because there was supposed to be a thunderstorm. When I was in the train, it started storming though, hailstones included.
