I took the train to Friedland and cycled the rest. It was very hot, but I had brought enough water. The terrain was steep, and for a portion of the distance I was pushing the bike rather than riding it. At the state border near the geohash, there were some goats. I located the coordinates in some tractor tracks in a field.
Then, I cycled to Eichenberg. The tripoint of the states of Hessen, Thuringia and Lower Saxony is located nearby and I took a look at it. It used to be the tripoint of the Electorate of Hessen, the Kingdom of Hannover and the Kingdom of Prussia, and later the tripoint of the occupation zones of the USA, the UK and the USSR. It is marked by a stone.
Afterwards, I took the train back to Hannover.
