Bike there in the afternoon. It's not that far and it will make a nice afternoon.
Expedition
Right before leaving home I thought, should I take a torch with me? I won't be that late, will I? Luckily I did eventually grab it.
The path, as boring as you can see on the tracklog since I took the same path for going and returning, I have taken it many times. When there is a river there is a limited amount of points where you can cross it (which ruins most of my juggernauts attempts :P). Here in Martorell is the Pont del Diable (Devil's Bridge) with a very nice legend.
After that the has was very close, very conveniently placed on a parking area on the road. Getting proof was not hard. From there I could see the castle. I mean, it's called castle but mostly only the church remains. You still can see the ruins of a tower and some walls. And from the hash I could see it up there and... I had to climb it.
And I say climb because when I went there 7 years ago I had to literally climb to get there. Today I saw they made in the meantime a nice path with some steps to comfortably reach the ruins. Great views from up there.
The sun was starting to set so I decided to head back home. Once I had to leave the river and enter the forest again it was already pitch dark. Luckily I had the torch with me, and riding in the dark is fun. More if no wild boards cross my path, which today was the case.
