First minesweeper completed! Went here on my back from 2023-06-10 global, after reaching 2023-06-11 51 7 earlier in the day.
Writing this report six months later, I'll recount what I can recall. From 2023-06-11 51 7, I hurriedly cycled to Oer-Erkenschwick and just made the bus to Recklinghausen. Here, I had a couple minutes to cycle through the centre and then boarded a train to Osnabrück, where I got off to explore the city. I visited, among other things, the castle (King George I of Great Britain died here), some giant churches, the historic centre with its many picturesque houses, the town hall where the Peace of Westphalia, which ended the Thirty Years' War, was signed in 1648, the cathedral with its uneven towers, and the childhood home of Erich Maria Remarque.
After 2.5 hours, I had to leave to take a train north, which I departed at Lohne. From there, I cycled 6 km to the hash, once again in a rush. On the way, I lost time because I had to reinflate my tyre and had to arduously cycle a path consisting just of sand. When I reached the hashfield, I hurried over to the hash, which was located on the other side, quickly came back and immediately jumped on my bike and started cycling. I'd initially planned to cycle to Vechta and board the train there, but now it wasn't in the temporal budget. I again made it to station just a few minutes before departure, but my train turned out to be. Since it was already past 6 pm, I didn't have time for anything else and took subsequent trains home via Bremen and Hamburg main station.
Lots more stuff happened, but I'm not going back and adding it in now, and many of the details are already very fuzzy. Good thing I'm writing this late, otherwise the report would've been even more unbearably long.
This expedition completes my Minesweeper achievement for 53,9.
