For a while, I had given up on geohashing. My last expedition went poorly, and I was unready to go on another potentially dangerous trip to nowhere. Eventually, I recognized that the purpose of geohashing is to get out and do the thing, and so I wanted to continue. I just didn't know when it would be possible.
This may have continued indefinitely had I not received a ping from the geohashing Discord server. Apparently, there was to be a hash near a large road, a short drive away from my residence!
