A confluence of things prevented me from getting to this hash, but I wanted to write it up so I could claim the Train Wreck consolation prize (one I have not yet acquired and hope to avoid in the future). We had gotten Covid the week before from J's office (over 5 people from her office reported being positive early this week and we didn't interact with anyone else). I didn't really have symptoms besides an almost but not quite fever and a scratchy throat, and I didn't test positive until Wed.
On Monday the 11th, I tried going downtown to play Broomball, but the car just made a rapid clicking noise and nothing else happened. Thinking about it, the car is about 5 years old now so I figured it was most likely the original battery was dying. Because it was in the (one car) garage, I would have to push it out and finagle with it to try to jump it from J's car and that would be a lot of work. Especially since we had a hand-held battery pack jump starter that also didn't work. I tried connecting that but it just gave me a warning indicator.
J was busy so I couldn't take her car (or get her to go with me) and because I was still in the Quarantine phase, I really didn't want to go to the auto store to get a new battery before Monday or Tuesday. So stuck at home, I was not able to get to Franklin Gulf for this hash. If I had a car, I could have avoided people on the trail and being outside, wouldn't have been a big deal otherwise so this was definitely a Transportation Failure.
Getting a new battery and replacing it a couple days later, the car started right up confirming it was a battery issue.
Photos
Due to knowing my car wouldn't start at this point, I didn't even attempt to start the car again for this hash (non)attempt and didn't take any pictures.
