Yay boxcars!

Disclaimer: This question is about something illegal and potentially unsafe...

..., yet: In North America, various people from teenage to old ages have told me they went to places on freight trains at one point or another during their lives. Apparently hopping a (freight) train is much more common there than over here in Central Europe. One reason might be that Europe has hardly any boxcars left because most box-able freight will be in containers, another might be that freight trains seem to run a lot faster here. And I guess it's just less of a culture. I don't want to encourage anyone to hop a train, but I do admit I am a bit curious if we may have to add another means of transportation to some future coordinates one day or another... --Zb 16:11, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
