From Geohashing

Phooooweee! That's a little tiny bit warm!  :-o Well done on overcoming the elements for your hash, though -- and have you thought of making an entry on the Hot Geohash page? I also think that if you consider that you can get metre-accuracy from a Google Maps print-out, that's certainly good enough to claim a successful hash. (My first hash was done that way, too.) After all, many GPS devices are only accurate to about 3m. -- Benjw 12:58, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, I'll add something to the Hot Geohash page, soon as I get to it. As far as the accuracy of finding the hash, I was just waiting to edit a couple of the images to point out the method I used and then upload them. As far as I'm concerned its accurate enough for this one (given the obvious landmaks on the google map). I'm confident I was within a metre, and there's no way (unless they re-located the whole park) that I was outside the 5m range. mykaDragonBlue [- i have no sig -] 16:21, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
