From Geohashing
Hello painted ones. I would probably have joined you but I had a small health scare which put me into the Acute Coronary Unit in Gorleston! I'm OK and back home. Luckily it was not a heart attack. I'm not quite confident to take on a full expedition today with a longish car drive. I'm going walking this afternoon to see how well I perform. You might enjoy 2015-09-16 52 1 in which I've come up with a hashcot idea so dead geohashers can keep on visiting hashpoints - it made me laugh - I'd split my sides if it caught on! --Sourcerer (talk) 08:29, 19 September 2015 (EDT)
- Now I just thought of the Zombie achievement! There is certainly potential in this idea. --Sourcerer (talk) 08:33, 19 September 2015 (EDT)
- My test walk is complete. 5 miles at 2 mph average. There were no strange side effects. That is good enough for almost all local expeditions. --Sourcerer (talk) 11:47, 19 September 2015 (EDT)
- We were a bit disappointed that nobody else joined us today, but at least you have a decent excuse! Though if you can do 5 miles walking you could have got there and back twice today :-) Sorry to hear about the scare, and good to know that everthing's OK. Hope to see you at a future hashpoint soon (though, as cool an idea as it is, we'd prefer it not to be a zombie hash!) --PaintedJaguar (talk) 17:51, 19 September 2015 (EDT)
- Thanks for your thoughts. My test-walk was close to home and easy to abort. Now with a bit more confidence I'm looking at 2015-09-20 52 0 and 2015-09-21 52 0 either side of midnight, both field perimeter short walks. I'd prefer to stay in 52, 1 but they are in the sea.
