Talk:Youngest Geohash

From Geohashing

Are unborn geohashers eligible for the achievement? -- relet 17:05, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

No. You can't be sure that they will be born alive. On the other hand... all my future children have been with me on my expeditions... And you have to take pictures to prove they were there (ultrasound doesn't count).- Danatar 17:22, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
Danatar: all my future children have been with me on my expeditions. No -- only women can say that! Male gametes (do I mean gametes?) are made afresh and only last a few days. -- Benjw 17:29, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
I disagree, ultrasounds would count, it's an imaging device just like a camera, but good luck porting one to a geohash. As for the debate as to whether an unborn child counts, I'm not touching that debate with a ten-meter pole, let's just make it a different category -- Jevanyn 11:01, 13 May 2011 (EDT)

On a different topic, I think Geekthras still has the record for youngest geohasher not brought by a parent (he brought his father, that's different!) And the trend of bringing babies is slightly disturbing :-) -- Jevanyn 11:01, 13 May 2011 (EDT)

Youngest -solo- geohasher

We've yet to establish the youngest person to go on a geohashing expedition solo. Geekthras doesn't seem to be on the wiki any more, do we have a nominee? -- Jevanyn (talk) 17:37, 19 November 2013 (EST)
