(You'll get a virgin in another grat, I'm sure.)

I would say, no, not eligible for Virgin. Perhaps no one is, seeing as your predeessor can't produce the Q-tip, but there doesn't seem to be a doubt that he made it first. If a Virgin award had to be given for every graticule, I'd give it to him before you. -[[User:Robyn|Robyn]] 04:14, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

::The Bellingham one (that's right next door to my home grat) was a water point, claimed by a guy on a motorcycle, with no expedition report beyond "I got this point on the way to another one" nor plausible explanation offered of how he got there, so it really didn't seem to count. Whereas the first one in your graticule really seems to be a guy that reached a point, but didn't have a camera or know about track logs. I say that if it seems pretty certain that another geohasher got there before you, then it's not your virgin, but that proof needs to be pretty good for the virgin. -[[User:Robyn|Robyn]] 05:29, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

Hmm, I wasn't sure, but I was going off Thomcat's better proof principle, illustrated here. I figured they offered no proof and I did, and someone ought to claim it at some point.  :-) --excellentdude 04:33, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
The Bellingham one (that's right next door to my home grat) was a water point, claimed by a guy on a motorcycle, with no expedition report beyond "I got this point on the way to another one" nor plausible explanation offered of how he got there, so it really didn't seem to count. Whereas the first one in your graticule really seems to be a guy that reached a point, but didn't have a camera or know about track logs. I say that if it seems pretty certain that another geohasher got there before you, then it's not your virgin, but that proof needs to be pretty good for the virgin. -Robyn 05:29, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
