Ok, so I looked more. I'm thinking we'll take the train to Steinach(b Rothenb) and then bike from there to the geohash, which is around 12km each way. That way we don't have to wait for the transfer to Bad Windsheim If you have the time, your transit knowledge would be greatly appreciatedOtherwise, we'll be going by the Deutsche Bahn website at 5.15 euro each way.

Very near to 2008-12-08 49 9, I will go there. I have to get my bike back from the repair shop first. Will you come, and when? Best route is through Steinbachtal (which is where we met last time, thepiguy). Srs0: this or this bus from Leistenstraße to Limbachshof or Kist/Carl-Diem-Straße - Danatar 14:05, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

:Thepiguy won't get off until later, but will be going. I'm free to go pretty much wheneverHe gets off work at 17:00, but still has to get a new tube for his bike and the like. When were you planning on being there? -Srs0 21:12, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Departure, unless thepiguy says otherwise, will be 18:41 (or 17:41 if we can make it, but I think we have stuff we have to do), arriving at Steinach at 19:24, via RB 34829Then return will most likely be at 21:31 via RB 34832.

The train appears to run every hour, so it may be 17:41 departure from Würzburg and 20:31 departure from Steinach, which I hope for, but I doubt it. I'll talk to Thepiguy and see what he thinks. -Srs0 08:38, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

Around 7.5km from srs0 and thepiguy's place. I'm thinking of going for a walk geohash, depending on how I feel tomorrow. I have no idea what thepiguy is planning, and would ask, but he's been asleep for around 2.5-3 hours, and I only got home from work shortly before that so we never discussed it.

New plans:
+
The location is right by the airport (Flugplatz Würzburg-Schenkenturm), and should be easy to get to with or without a gps! It's supposed to be rainy tomorrow, but here's hoping that's wrong! -Srs0 19:46, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

Talked to thepiguy, and we're going to make the 17:41 train, take it to Uffenheim, and arrive at 18:14. We'll then bike to the hashpoint as per Danatar's help (Uttenhofen-Seenheim-Ergersheim), then back, and hopefully catch the 19:40 train, with a backup plan of 20:40. We should be at the hashpoint by 19:00, including time for getting semi-lost. -Srs0 10:26, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

I'll be doing the 6th, in Zellingen, by bike. However, two days of bike rides is too much for me right now given my wrist was hurting a bit after Thursday, so I can't do both. If anyone is driving to the 5th, I'll tag along, but otherwise you're on your own.
I plan to do 49 10, I don't have the time for other graticules. If I go alone, I'll try for 4pm, but you can propose another time (between 2pm and 5pm). We could meet 1 hour earlier at Berliner Platz so you won't get lost ;-) - Danatar 22:44, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

I think we're going to try 49 8 today. It's almost right in town! Have fun though! Thepiguy 07:12, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

Now, for the 6th, I'll be going unless the weather turns to pouring rain, in which case I may still go. We'll see. However, I'm definitely planning on being there! -Srs0 07:22, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

Near Rottenbauer. You going Danatar? If so, I'd love to join you. I've seen Rottenbauer on the front of one of the trams - is that the best way to get there, and if so, where does it stop? Input would be greatly appreciated, due to my lack of knowledge! Hopefully you're planning on going! (Thepiguy isn't around, so he won't.) -Srs0 13:38, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

:Last tram stop is on Schleifweg (you can see the turning circle on the satellite view), i.e. 2.2 km by foot, and it's the best way without using your hands. I will go. Do you have time all day? I will try to drag E. along (maybe by bike along the Main though) and I don't know when she has time. Do you have a GPS device with you? - Danatar 13:52, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
+
I probably will get my hands on two Baden-Württemberg-Tickets for 5 people each for that day for half the original price (they are from a group which had to cancel their trips and those tickets can't be returned). In case the Würzburg group plans to go hashing somewhere in Ba-Wü that day, you might be interested in one of them? I'll use the other one myself, so one could meet at some obscure point in the state. --Ekorren 10:08, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
::Awesome! Schleifweg it is. I'm probably almost there. I'm following the tram tracks with google maps right now to find everything, but you answered before I could find it. I'm busy in the morning (have to head to the hospital), but should be free for the afternoon. I can text/call you when I get back from the hospital if you'd like. Unfortunately no GPS, as thepiguy brought them with him, so we'll have to rely on your awesome maps. Tell me if you're biking or not so I know whether or not to try to meet you on the tram on the way! -Srs0 14:01, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

:::I've decided to go to the hospital tomorrow instead. It's not urgent, just a check-up (no actual appointment). How are you getting there? Biking I'm guessing, or is E coming? When are you planning on being there (so I can try to get there at the same general time)? On that note, do you know how long it takes for the tram to get from Rathaus to Schleifweg? Sorry for my lack of knowledge! -Srs0 07:42, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

There were a lot of hashpoints in the western end of this graticule recently, like this one. It's in a field east of Gemmingen, east of Eppingen. Reachable from Karlsruhe, train to Eppingen and ~8km by bike. Considering it. 14:41, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
