The template claims that you can edit the talk page without registering. This might have been true, but as of now you cannot edit the page without being logged in, and this is confusing to new users. So either we should make the talk pages publicly editable (which is probably a bad idea because of spam), or we should make it clear in the template that people have to register with a valid email address.

nice try!

heheh, nice try Koepfel but i didn't think that would work. i'm happy with going to the talk page, seeing any other comments that might be there, and then deciding whether to click the plus. -- sermoa 20:14, 28 September 2009 (UTC)

Editing without logging in not possible

The template claims that you can edit the talk page without registering. This might have been true, but as of now you cannot edit the page without being logged in, and this is confusing to new users. So either we should make the talk pages publicly editable (which is probably a bad idea because of spam), or we should make it clear in the template that people have to register with a valid email address.

I'm fairly sure that at some point you could edit pages without being logged on by answering a captcha - maybe this feature can be re-enabled? In the meanwhile I have removed the sentence that says you don't need to register... --Crox (talk) 17:25, 13 August 2014 (EDT)
