I know it probably doesn't feel like it right now, but you are so lucky to actually have terrain like this. I dream of cliffs, wilderness and swamps (ok, probably not swamps). The only thing that stops me getting to a geohash is a "Private - keep out" sign, and that's soooo dull. Your graticule is so much more interesting.
