I use gaiters to keep snow out of my boots (they're lighter and more effective at this than snow pants).  I was surprised to see you wearing them in the bush with shorts.  --[[User:Juventas|Juventas]] 15:01, 25 December 2011 (EST)

:Really? I didnt think it was that uncommon? A lot of hikers wear them to keep the prickly and cutty vegetation from tearing up the lower legs. We seem to have a lot of unfriendly ankle high foliage [[User:Greenslime|Greenslime]] 15:10, 26 December 2011 (EST)
