Location
A corn field in Eversten (WP:de), a south-western district of Oldenburg.

Expedition
On very bright and sunny day, we (Wendy and pah) went on a nice walk through Oldenburg, since today's hashpoint in the graticule 53,8 was in about 5 km walking distance from our home.
We've reached the hash quite exactly at 4 pm, and placed the mandatory note (see pictures). Even though the hash was very comfortable to reach (there was even a bus stop very close by), no one else showed up during the 15 minutes, we stayed in the middle of young corn.
Unfortunately the GPS accuray of the smartphone was quite limited, so we didn't manage to lock in exactly. Of course, we didn't want to damage the corn field, so it was quite difficult to following the "jumping" coordinates on the GeoDroid app. We took some pictures, but due to the bright sun, it's quite hard to read the coordinates on the phone display. Hopefully, this still counts as sufficient proof.
Afterwards, we went back to the city center, had some nice rhubarb pie and a pan cake with bacon and powdered sugar. All in all, we walked about 10 km in total, and it was a really enjoyable afternoon.
