Using the public footpaths, I got close, then following tractor tracks I got to within 5 metres. I didn't crush the wheat by completing the the last few paces. Then I walked and logged all the footpaths and bridleways in the vicinity for addition to OpenStreetMap.
The transport museum was closed.
