A little more about me. Feel free to take a look at my [http://sparkyb.net/ web presence] I am a programmer/designer/tinkerer. I have a Masters of [http://www.etc.cmu.edu Entertainment Technology] which I use to create fun things like video games you play with your shadow, interactive fountains, theme park attractions, interactive museum exhibits, video games for movie theaters, etc. I moved back to Boston when I left my last job to start [http://ngcreative.com/ my own company]. It's pretty exciting but what that means is that I spend a lot of time in my apartment alone (usually working) and not enough time interacting with other humans. I may be traveling for a lot of June but I hope to be a regular at saturday meetups when I am in town.

My name is Ben but most of my friends call me Sparky. I live in Medford but just a 5 min walk and short T ride away from Boston. I grew up in Massachusetts but I only recently moved back here. Previously I've lived in Pittsburgh, Atlantic City, and Atlanta. I like travel and I love adventures. That plus having just moved and needing to get out and meet more people makes geohashing a perfect activity. Also I just got a new GPS for Hanukkah.

A little more about me. Feel free to take a look at my web presence I am a programmer/designer/tinkerer. I have a Masters of Entertainment Technology which I use to create fun things like video games you play with your shadow, interactive fountains, theme park attractions, interactive museum exhibits, video games for movie theaters, etc. I moved back to Boston when I left my last job to start my own company. It's pretty exciting but what that means is that I spend a lot of time in my apartment alone (usually working) and not enough time interacting with other humans. I may be traveling for a lot of June but I hope to be a regular at saturday meetups when I am in town.

While I'm discussing nerdy pursuits I want to throw this out there. I'd really like to get started a regular games night like I used to have with my friends in Atlanta. Mostly we'd play various board/title/card games of the nerdy variety. Some of my favorites include Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride, Powergrid, Apples to Apples, Set, Fluxx. Occasionally we'd play some video games (who's down for some Mario Kart?) and there'd often be beer. If this sounds fun to you let me know. I'd be happy to host it, although perhaps eventually it could rotate around.
