The expedition went more or less as expected. Getting to Ted's was no trouble and nothing was posted, but as I started walking, the brush around was pretty thick. I was hoping to see and use 4 wheeler trails I kind of saw in the satellite pics and just as I was running out of space in the open area I was in, I found one going in the right direction. Not that it was of great use though as in many places it was deeper water than I would have liked.

However, for the most part, I could avoid the worst of it and came out with dry feet. Closing in on the hash, I could see the shine of the water so I knew I was getting close. Getting to under 150 feet, I was hoping that the hash was in the clearing ahead of me and it was! I could do the GPS dance without ducking and weaving around dense growth, but I still couldn't quite get all 0's.

Location

In an undeveloped (not as swampy as expected) area in Cheektowaga next to a small lake

Participants

Plans

Head over after work, and park in Ted's Hotdogs(a local chain only found it Western NY and one place in Arizona oddly enough) parking lot to get access to the hash. Stop in for a hot dog for dinner before going home.

Expedition

I went back to the parking lot a different way, which contrary to popular belief, wasn't harder, definitely wasn't easier either. By this time, the smells from the restaurant were making my stomach rumble, so I didn't waste any time ordering my food.

Getting to the hash, this is now a consecutive hash, with the previous day's hash here and tomorrow's hash here.
