At the time, I was living on Capitol Hill, so when I realized how close the point was to my home address, I knew I couldn't go without trying to get it. After work that day, I took the Metro to the nearby Smithsonian station and took a short walk to the hashpoint. At the time, I had assumed the only way I would be able to reach the point was to enter the buildings and try to make it into the courtyard inside. I thought this would be unlikely, but worth a shot.

However, when I got there, I noticed a lucky parking garage! I walked inside, and sure enough, the parking garage went beneath the entire building. Satellite reception was very spotty in the garage, so I couldn't pinpoint the exact place. Nevertheless, I walked all over the possible places it could have been, so I'm sure at some point I walked over the exact place. I was able to get a screenshot as well, which is below.

NOTE: This hash was completed two or three days before the wiki went completely down. I didn't have a chance to log the hashpoint before it went down. Now that the Wiki is running again, I'm writing my hash report a few months late.

This also qualified me for the Underground Geohashing achievement - which is an unusual one for sure!

From there, I left and went off to meet my friends at a bar and had a great Friday night in DC!
