Location

An island between the Rhine and an old branch between Biblis and Bürstadt.

Plans

Just walk there from Biebesheim and continue my way to Bürstadt. It's a little bit disturbing that the Hash leads me to another point in the Rhine Valley. A walk in the nearby Mountains would be more fun. But I can reach the point by foot without using public transport.

Expedition

Number two of this years hash-tour. Here you'll find the last and the next adventure.


		After a good breakfast I started walking at 9 am. First the Route lead me through the ugly industrial area between Biebesheim and Gernsheim again. After an hour I reached the Rhine again close to the ferry I used yesterday. I followed the rhine up to this beautiful strand

The botanical result of todays walk: Scilla, primrose, anemone and a daffodil. And a nuclear power plant once again

After a long while I reached this hut at the outlet of the river Weschnitz into the rhine. I made a break there. It will become quite important for tomorrows walk.
		Another while later I crossed a branch of the rhine and entered the Maulbeeraue, an old island. Now I had to leave the rhine. A last picture with the industrial area of Worms.

	I still had to walk for another one and a half hour, and so I made a break near the hash on this stub. But in the end I reached this very nice hotel

-The landscape varied much more on this side and especially the forests were wilder. After three hours I reached the island the Hash was located on. I could see the industrial area of Worms on the others side of the river. The island was covered with Meadows and fields and the Hash was on one of those meadows.
