For the cover of the 2012 calendar you can nominate the best geohashing-related picture of all time (well, that is from May 08 to Oct 11).

Ok, so there was an amazing photo (2010?) in the French alps, a guy hiked a decent distance to a beautifully scenic location. It was sunny, there was lush green grass with grey rocky mountains in the background. Anyone remember? Stevage 02:36, 4 October 2011 (EDT)

There's been a number of very scenic expeditions. I've put up a couple of galleries, maybe you can find them the one you're looking for in there? I do remember one specific expedition with beautiful views but I can't find it either ... - Mampfred 05:48, 4 October 2011 (EDT)

There have been a number of expeditions in the Alps, eg 2011-06-12 45 7, 2011-01-01 46 7, 2010-07-13 45 7 or the memorable 2009-06-07 47 10 (maybe we should create a category for them?). 2011-05-14 45 5 is the only one I can think of in the French Alps; 2009-09-21 46 5 was a long hike but in the neighboring French Jura. Ah, thanks. I think File:2010-07-13 45 7 live.jpg was the one I was thinking of - coincidentally, yours :) Slightly different in my memory - oh well. And yes, not the French alps at all. Heh. (I spent a year in Grenoble - I should know better). Stevage 02:35, 6 October 2011 (EDT)
