As soon as I turned off the main highway, the smell of manure hit easily within a second. Doesn't bother me much, but it was the suddenness the moment I went off the beaten path that had me curious. Nonetheless, I made it to the hashpoint and took my pictures. That's around when the barking started and a dog ran out to see the stranger. He didn't seem like he'd bite, but I also knew better than to test that theory; from what I remembered of dog body language, chest forward and tail straight up, he was likely very suspicious of me. At that point, I was already heading back to the car to leave. Such a good dog protecting his territory!

Expedition

The Plan

Shortly off US-301. Swing by, stick to the road before continuing on.

The Geohashers

The Adventure

Initially, I wasn't going to do this one, but another geohash got my attention, and my planned route was maybe ten minutes away from this one. Convenient!

I started up a new deck of marker cards, but completely forgot to take a picture of the Eight of Diamonds. That seems somewhat fitting, as the moment I tried to place it, the wind took it and blew it away. At that point, I got back on my route to go for the main event: Cross City.
