This was Day 2 of a three day consecutive geohash achievement. Originally I'd planned to ride out here on my way to or on my way home from a house-lunch in Blackburn, but I was afflicted with an unfortunate injury the night before: riding in town to dinner I was knocked off my bike by a rashly opened car door, which happened to be operated by none other than my unthinking and suddenly horrified housemate from Inverloch, Brad (from whom I received apologetic free beers all night).

The upshot of this rather unlikely event (well, Brad WAS heading to the same place I was so it's not THAT amazing I guess) was that I could not ride a bike due to swelling of the knee. So I had to drive - that's my excuse anyway.

Arriving at the hash-lane at about a quarter past 4pm I immediately found Stevage, who had ridden his bike from his nearby home in Camberwell (it must be the most convenient hash he's ever done). We hung around in the lane taking photos, I climbed the wall to hang my GPS over the exact point of the hash, then we both headed off to our good friend tAlex' place in Kew.

Here we had some of the beers while tAlex brewed up an all-grain with his phD supervisor before I headed home and Stevage re-did the hash by bike and tAlex got the walking achievement jogging along beside him. But tAlex tells his own succinct story below.
