I was in New York when this geohash was generated, it was my first one outside of Germany.

While in New York, I saw the building where the locations of Geohashes are decided, the New York Stock Exchange. But that is not where the hash was.

The A Train took me to Beach 98th Street and I walked the rest, a short distance. The Rockaway Freeway was not a busy road at the time, so it was not difficult to get to the median strip and the exact coordinates, where I took the proof pictures.

Afterwards I went to the nearby beach on the south of the Rockaway peninsula. The moon was bright and I could see an occasional airplane leaving the nearby John F. Kennedy International Airport. It was beautiful.
