Plans
Bus to Old Dalkeith Road, then attempt access either through the Drum Estate main gate, along the Dardenhall Railway path, or through the equestrian therapy center. Not clear any of them will work. ETA at bus stop just after 2 pm.
Expedition
Easier than expected. The hashpoint was in a farm field on the private Drum Estate south of Edinburgh. In addition to farm fields and lawns the estate includes an "equine therapy" center similar to one in Michigan where we once did a Deja Vu 2015-09-06_43_-85 geohash. Its website [[1]] says "We welcome respectful and responsible members of the public", so I was mildly optimistic that I'd be able to get access, but the walls and gates and fences that were obvious from the satellite view didn't inspire confidence.
In the end, no problem. Access plan #1 succeeded. The field had already been harvested and was only mildly muddy despite the recent rainy visit from Storm Darragh.
