Bad news: I scared away another friend! But after I almost started having nightmares about not being the first to hash my origin graticule (and my origin hash, convenient as it is, does not count), I just had to use this opportunity of having the point only about twenty kilometres away! It rained like shit, so at least I gave in and didn't insist on going by bike. We took my car to our beautiful (har har) county town Hildburghausen, then I tried to show my friend some of the sights. It turned out Hildburghausen has none, but is ideal to get lost or drive infinite rounds on the city ring road. From the theater, which is nothing more than a building site, we walked to Birkenfeld, which was my stupid idea alone, of course. I had estimated the way to be about two or three km long, which is right as far as Google can tell. But it started to rain again , and now I was stubborn and just went on, and... if you ask me, the rain went on for about twenty minutes and wasn't too bad, we arrived at the point and it was my first hash that wasn't on a depressing stubble field or something but on a site that was actually beautiful, but - well, seems I have to go alone again next time. (By the way, I made it Saturday at four o'clock this time and had high hopes to meet people, but the two guys we saw were only walking with their dog and admiring my red leaves artworks - see below.) ---[[User:Paintedhell|Paintedhell]]
