About

Not far north of Northgate mall in north Seattle, this appears to be a vacant lot. By now, somebody has probably built a condo in it. Easy bus access off 5th avenue, and also a short walk from the mall.

Bonus - this property also for sale! Buy today and claim a couch-potato geohash at the same time! Just $629,000.

This being a mere 3 miles from my house, I drove by the spot on Friday night.

So the spot was available, and I grabbed one of the flyers. To the flip side of this I added the google spot marker and coordinates. Home to post about the Saturday XKCD inspection of the property, and off to bed.

Morning, and the wiki site is down.

Before heading out the door, I check again - the site is back up, but very few edits. I throw in a book and chair in case the meetup is sparsely attended.

It is.

Finding the spot in daylight was trivial. I snapped a photo of the spot, and of me on the spot. I didn't bring a thermometer because this isn't even close to coldest.

After reading for an hour, I left the altered flyer on the combination of moss, grass, and mushrooms that passes for a front "lawn" and headed home. Geohash success, meetup failed.
