Report
It's Christmas Eve, and the hash location has finally fallen in an accessible area in the nearby Sutherland graticule. This graticule has only a very small portion of the graticule as land (at a guess less than 5%), and of that the majority is dense and inaccessible bushland. So to have a hashpoint that fell directly in the middle of a major road in the graticule was an early Christmas present.
I set out for the location which was about an hour from where I live. Along the way the weather turned overcast, and the rain began to fall lightly. But I didn't care. It was Christmas Eve, and this was my first geohashing expedition in exactly two months. Nothing was going to stop me from conquering this virgin graticule.
I arrived at the hashpoint just before 2.30pm, and ate some McDonalds for lunch (directly next to the hash location) so that I could hang around to see if any other Geohashers would arrive. No-one else showed up, so I crossed the road a couple of times passing right over the hashpoint and took the mandatory photos.
Now it was time to do a drive-by. Traffic was heavy at the intersection, but I passed over the hashpoint with ease. It's good to be back geohashing! Merry Christmas everyone!
