Expeditions

After Tuesday's disappointment, We were hoping for a good geohash before we went out of town for the weekend. The hashpoint was wonderful, on a street in a small subdivision just past I285, less than twelve miles Southeast of us. So we very optimistically struck out around 12:45 for the hash.

We both got directions off of Google Maps, but for some reason our independent results did not match up. Nick's iPhone suggested taking I20 to I285, the interstate route. Chris' computer suggested a more direct route, through town on local roads. Since Chris was navigating, his directions won out, for better or for worse. But they did happen to have one distinct advantage, which was an Ace Hardware store that was en route to the hashpoint. We stopped there to pick up some small supplies, but ended up with something extremely necessary before continuing on our way.

The hashpoint was reached without further incident. We waited some time for our supplies to adjust, and in the meantime collected the customary evidence. We even got video evidence of a successful speed racer hash. And then, with our supplies adjusted about as well as ever, we took our last photo; an oversized thermometer with a subzero reading. Success!
