This hash point turned out to be on the front steps of a house. From Google maps, you can't tell where the hash point it. I knocked on the door of the wrong house and asked permission to locate the hash point on their property. PERMISSION GRANTED.
Well, it was the wrong house. As I was walking into the driveway of the adjacent house, I thought I better should ask for permission to access the property. I started to walk up the walkway to the front door and I saw the eTrex go to 0.00 feet. I almost snapped a picture there. I did go and knock on the door of the house and a guy with a suit and tie on and appeared to be just getting home from church answered the door. I explained again and he wasn't so sure that he liked me being there. I showed him my eTrex with only 12 feet to go. I pointed at the exact spot. He finally said, "Okay". He stood next to me and watched me the entire time.
I thanked him and went on my way. I know he still doesn't understand why I wanted to be on that exact spot. I had given my XKCD material to the woman from the other house. Next time I'll print it out twice.
