Renaming the graticule?
So, after living in Southern Alberta for about ten years, I must confess that I'd never heard of Bassano. To my knowledge as a Lethbridger, Lomond is the most remarkable municipality in this graticule. What do people think about renaming the graticule to Lomond, Alberta? - Elbie 04:59, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
- After a second look, I just saw that Vauxhall is in the graticule, which is much more notable than Lomond. Change my proposal to renaming the graticule after Vauxhall. (Note: Vauxhall is only smaller than Bassano by about 300 people, according to Wikipedia.) - Elbie 05:02, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
- Once again, I second it. I have lived in Lethbridge for too long and still haven't heard of Lomond. In contrast, most people know approximately where Vauxhall is, and I recommend a change to 'Vauxhall' for the sake of Hasher's sanity when they try to find the place. Shell 23:34, 25 June 2009 (MST)
- In all honesty, I don't know that area enough. So I have no input for this graticule's name. -Srs0 09:14, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
- Support. I have no qualms with changing names if locals deem fit. -Meghan 16:43, 25 June 2009 (UTC)
Alright, since nobody's opposed it, or given anymore feedback, I'm gonna go ahead and make the move. - Elbie 21:22, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
