Bit of a disappointment! I had a couple of errands to run out in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne and decided to jump on this geohash as it was within easy striking distance. Was going to try a Tron but realised that I would have ended up crossing my path on the way back home. Just after I'd completed the final errand, my phone rung with a request to get back into the office ASAP and I only had a little bit of time to swing past the hashpoint.
In doing so, I actually passed the hashpoint from the 4th January but didn't get the camera out in time to grab a photo. Then, as I was about 500m away from the hashpoint, the batteries died on the GPS! I quickly switched round the batteries from the camera, and kept going, but when it got to the actual hash point the camera took just two photos of the working GPS - the first one out of focus, of course - and then shut down. The GPS continued to work, thankfully.
The hashpoint was on a little suburban dead-end road with a turning circle on one of the bends, with the actual point on someone's driveway at the edge of the turning circle. I got out of the car, walked to the hash point, stood there looking stupid for a couple of minutes - there was nowhere to leave a sign - then jumped back in the car and headed back to the office, only realising *after* I'd left the point that of course my phone has a camera on it!
So, sorry - just a photo of the GPS this time - but the -37,145 coordinates were successfully reached.
