:I brought this up recently [[Talk:2012_calendar#Nomination Requirements|over here]].  I said I was okay with it because it was representative of the destination.  It would of been neat to have a calendar of just people's activities at the coordinates, but unfortunately there may not have enough material for that every month. --[[User:Juventas|Juventas]] 02:33, 28 February 2011 (EST)

Quoting 2012 calendar: Requirements for the photos: It must be a picture from an actual geohashing expedition and taken close to the geohash. The photo should have some relation to geohashing in addition to being taken at the geohash, in order to make it an interesting calender (as opposed to an calendar of nice landscape photos). It could contain, for example, a Hashscot, an xkcd marker, a Google Earth Pin, a Stupid Grintm, etc. Obviously, the photo must also be available in high resolution and the photographer and any persons included in the picture must be informed and support the nomination.

While the Garibaldi Lake pictures are very nice, I'm unsure whether they match the requirements closely enough? Particularly the one without geohashers.

(or maybe we should discuss the criteria - a calendar with nice landscapes is fine with me too)

In my opinion, the Garibaldi pictures are fit for a Goehashing Calendar (as opposed to pictures like these) because for me they carry the association of "Look at the crazy routes geohashers take to get to their destination". Also I don't think we need very clear or strict requirements for nomination because the pictures are voted on anyway and if many people think that a certain picture is not fit to be in the calendar then it wont be... --HiroProtagonist 14:16, 17 January 2011 (EST) P.S. I brought this up recently over here. I said I was okay with it because it was representative of the destination. It would of been neat to have a calendar of just people's activities at the coordinates, but unfortunately there may not have enough material for that every month. --Juventas 02:33, 28 February 2011 (EST)
