Expedition

Basically, we all hopped in my sister's car and headed for the hashpoint. Niece #4 and I were already limbered up from a successful expedition three graticules south earlier in the day; SisterJen and Niece #3 were heading out for the first time.

Never has an Expedition encountered such traffic! At least, a Michael5000 expedition. But we were strong, and persevered, and reached an apartment complex. Enough people were out and about on a lovely spring day that nobody seemed much to notice the quartet that parked, strolled across the parking lot, and took their own picture next to one of the buildings. Nor did the impressive profusion of dog poop at ground zero -- do dogs know about geohashing? -- bother us much. Well, not except for #4, who required considerable coaching to get her shoes clean. But we returned to base camp with an unmistakable feeling of triumph.
