Location
Near the Jackson School Road on-ramp to Hwy 26 West
Participants
Plans
I figured I could just drive down the on-ramp and would pass through the hashpoint on my way home from work.
Expedition
Boy was I wrong.
I made a first pass, and discovered I never got closer than about 100-200 feet from the hashpoint. So much for the accuracy of Google maps showing the hashpoint right there.
So I drove to the next exit on Hwy 26, turned around through the bridge construction, and parked about a quarter mile from the on ramp and hoofed it up to the on-ramp. I stayed in the green space adjacent to the on-ramp for safety. (It was dark.) I finally got to 12 feet from the hashpoint and declared success. It was almost to the fence for the adjacent property, so it is a good thing it wasn't much further.
I walked back to my car and headed home.
No photos. No Speed racer.
Additional note: Currently (today is 16-Aug-2015) Google Maps now shows the hashpoint as being on the side of the on-ramp.
Achievements
